SHS NEWS
ONLY FOR SENIORS
In an effort to help seniors who fell behind this year catch up, they will have a unique opportunity through the Saturday program.
SENIORS are able to make up a grade from terms 1, 2 or 3.
SENIORS are able to sign up for 2 courses.
SENIORS must attend the first 4 sessions & complete the program in that time frame.
SENIORS who elect to take 2 courses, must also attend after school sessions.
Saugus High School is continuing the SHS Saturday Online "Grade Recovery" Intervention Program IN PERSON. The goal of this program is to provide extended time instruction (Saturday mornings 8 AM to 12 PM (noon), to help struggling students find success in English, Math, Science, or Social Studies. Students are able to earn a 65 in the assigned subject area for previous terms (does not impact MIAA eligibility) to get back on track to pass the course for the year. This is a great opportunity for students, as there is no summer school to make up courses.
Eligibility: Any SHS student who scored a 64 or below in their English, Math, Science, or Social Studies class terms 1, 2 or 3.
Duration: 4 Weeks - 3 hours per Saturday (8 AM - 11 AM or 9 AM - 12 PM) IN PERSON at SMHS
Students are required to attend 4 sessions and will be removed at their 1st missed session. Students must earn a passing grade of 80 AND have 12 active working hours in the online program in order for their previous term grade to be changed to a 65.

Our organization does not meet daily, therefore please allow 1-2 weeks for a response. We thank you for your patience and understanding while you wait.
